Coolpix 5000 – a collectable digicam from 2002?

I decided yes... And had a lot of fun with my 25 Euro/Dollar sample (without lenses) in spring:





and summer 2017:







The only thing I wasn’t happy were the out-of-cam Coolpix 5000 JPEGs. Installing firmware 1.8 and saving NEF/RAW works much better:
