A friend of mine got a working Kodak DCS 410. But he got only a Macintosh (7.x/8.x/9.x) driver (pug-in). To open the DCS410 files in Windows, he needs the right Kodak TWAIN. Right now I am in vacation, without my whole computer equipment
But I was curious

For my big surprise a fresh GIMP installation including the raw-converter UFRAW solved the problem and opened the Kodak TIFF-RAW files my friend mailed to me. I have not tested the several UFRAW-parameters, but maybe this hint can help someone else...
