battery pack for dcs-465

Post by umrüd »

Hello,

have anyone an idea how to change the internal battery pack of the MF-Digital-Back DCS-465? Kodak describs the exchange for the DCS-460-Modells only, but not for the similar technical however optical different DCS-465.
Which screws will hold the both plastic-surfaces together?

Thanks in advance

Could excange the accu-pack by myself. If anyone is interested:
You have to put out the four screws on the corner of ccd-Side (not the screws round the ccd!). Caution the screws have different length!. The you have to pull out the four srews on the side with the mini-display and the scsi and microphone buttons. Last you have to unscrew the screws of the scsi-connector. The you can divide the case (dont loose the buttons for iso, scsi and microphone!) after disconnecting three plugs. Be carefull to separate the two boards for getting to the accu-pack. Watch the flexible ribbon not to pull out of the connector. Now you have access to the internal battery. An new one costs 40,- EURO in an ACCU-Center (Soldering by the shop with the cable of the old pack inclusive). Reassemble the unit. The buttons can be hold in place with adhesive tape from the outside.

Here's the DCS 465 battery replacement instructions, from Kodak Professional support (written by "the Service Engineer who used to handle the cameras"):

Thanks Kodak, thanks Ulrich!
