Hmm, I just got assignment to cover 133rd birthday of Student Union of Helsinki University of Technology and I decided that now would be perfect timing to buy better flash to my DCS 760. ;) Currently I'm using old Starblitz 3600 from 80's and it gives quite irregular results, mostly overrexposing. I...

Hi, The Kodak 600 and 700 series would work fairly well with the SB-28d flash unit, which was something in between the SB-28 and SB-28dx. It was a modified SB-28 made by Nikon for Kodak to go with the 600 series. I had one when I had my 660c. Stan Hmm, sounds very interesting. Did it have TTL-expos...

Even the DCS 760 doesn't have TTL-ability. IIRC the 14n was first Kodak with TTL-flash? All flashes I have tested give full power when put to TTL-mode. Flashes own semiautomatic mode, usually called A or Automatic works quite well but of course it's not good substitute for TTL-based flash exposure.

DCS 760 does some photo journalism

Hi! Last weekend I was shooting The Finnish Railway History Societys excursion with museum train from the sixties with my DCS 760 and 18-35, 50/1.2 and 80-400 VR Nikkors. I took over 350 images and here are the best ones: http://turbaani.1g.fi/kuvat/Junat/050924_SRHS-ajelu/ Most of the railway enthu...

I finally had time to pick up the battery and currently it's charging for the first time. I'll report my experiences about battery life later this week when I have more time to shoot. Btw, price was dropped to 26 euro, not bad at all. ;)

Tip for DCS 500/600/700 users: Battery recelling

I have three original Kodak batteries and they all have quite poor performance (about 100 shots per battery) and one of them is so weak that it can't keep the DCS 760 on longer than few minutes. Kodak's Finnish importer let me know that a new battery should cost about 250 euros and shipment would ta...

I found also a quite useful service that shows location where the photo is taken by using the GPS-information found from EXIF-data. For example you can see where I live by watching this link. There are also several similar services and programs available on the net.

Thanks for links! It works! I used serial cable from my old Canon Pro70 and drove to my local Biltema (for people living outside Scandinavia, a store that sells cheap stuff) and bought a DB9 gender changer (2.5 euros). I hooked all up and it just worked! I went outside and took few pics. This is vie...

GPS on DCS 760?

Hello everyone! I'm using my DCS 760 for documentary photography and getting GPS-cordinates to EXIF-information would be very useful. I have a Garmin Etrex with serial cable so I'll need something between Kodaks 'test'-terminal and RS-232c. Does someone now if there is a commercial solution or do I ...
