Extreme Telephoto- 2400mm f/13.5
Jarle, Very informative piece... similar in concept to the Questar 3.5in telescope which is also availalbe in a T-mount for the very purpose (long range photography/ surveillance. My personal choice is the Questar 7-inch Long-Range Surveillance Telescopic Lense (the SZ-180), at 2400mm f/13.5 - for u...

E3/ E3s manuals- pdf files
I'll scan my E3/E3s manual sometime this weekend and post to the webmaster... it's not that different than the afore-mentioned E2 manual - in quickly glancing through it, it's probably about 85% exactly the same as the E2 manual... just a few different sections for the other modes and a couple diffe...

Strange DCS 200 backs.. explained
Actually, that's just the normal DCS 200 back with the protective back cover attached over the sensor area.... the digital back cover-plates came with the original kit (but usually get lost or separated from the units showing up on Ebay.) The cover plates are form-fitted to the digital back, and mak...

Batteries
Actually, I imagine the seller is unfamiliar with these cameras and doesn't realize that the battery is "hard-wired" inside the digital back.... he certainly doesn't appear to have dis-assembled them just to get the battery. From the outside, an casual user would not see any battery and he...

Nikon DCS 315
Nikon Kiu... if you really want a DCS 315, (or a DCS 1,3,5,410,420, or 460) email me, as I've got a few I'd be glad to sell to anyone on this board. They also made a DCS 330... just in case you're collecting the entire Nikon line.

Almost the whole kit.. but not quite
It's almost complete, but missing the keyboard and the DCS instruction manual. The SB-12 flash unit and Chinon video CV-AC32 w/ BNC cable are not part of the original kit- just simple aftermarket items to allow for flash and apparently video conversion. Anyone asked the seller for the serial numbers...

Nikon E2n for sale
Does the Nikon E2n include the lens (as shown in the picture)?
do you collect digital cameras? and if so, would you be interested in trading anything for the camera, or just an outright sale?

Why an F2?
Why do you want to use an F2...? Really, I'm curious... the F3 was the first commerical camera modified w/ a removable digital back... not sure why you'd want to go back even older. The key will be you'll have to check the distance of the lens-to-focal plane (film plane) of an F2 to make sure you've...

Replacing backs
Wolfi, Any of the backs in the DCS 4xx line can be swapped with other backs- the body is the same (Nikon N90/F90 or N90s/F90s) and the backs are entirely self contained. However, swapping individual parts (microdrive readers, chips, etc) between 4xx backs would not be recommended as the firmware sho...

You're probably dreaming
I suspect a fraudulent bidder... his last 2 items he bought have had the item pulled/ removed from Ebay... and the other items he bought were all under $50... mostly computer cables/ USB items.
If he did buy it, I've got another E3 in the box w/ manuals and charger I'd like to sell him!

Kodak Cal file
Sean, It's been a while since I've had to do this, but from memory at work I think you'll do the following: 1) Download and install the Kodak DCS Twain Acquire-plug-in for Windows/ Or Mac. If it didn't come on disk with your camera, no problem- Search this website or google "kodak twain DCS cam...

E3 in Box
I've also got a E3 in the original box, along with the charger (it also had it's own box.) I'll get some pictures off to Jarle sometime. It's a plain white box w/ black Nikon lettering, nothing fancy- not even the glossy type of paper, just rather plain white fiberboard. I guess Nikon spent so much ...
