Re: Must see: Rare Nikon QV-1000C video on Youtube
"Coming soon" is obviously a joke. And I can assure you that this camera isn't being used by anyone. If you want to know more about the camera, feel free to ask. I'm planning to write a more comprehensive QV-1000C article, but I never seem to get the time. Jarle Looks I didn't get it both...

Re: Must see: Rare Nikon QV-1000C video on Youtube
I'm hoping when it says "Coming Soon" at the end that this is just an intro to a more technical or hands on presentation. It's good to see one actually being handled and I assume used as opposed to just sitting in a glass case, but I'd like to know more about it. I've thought a few times o...

Crazy or fate?
Last spring I acquired 2 DCS-200 bodies and one DCS-420 off of Ebay. The 420 gave me fits with a dead battery and a replacement that stuck when inserting it that required destroying the new battery to get it out. (Cheap replacement that was sized wrong.) One 200 had a failing hard drive, the other a...

Old Camera Photo Galleries
Don't know how many people would be interested but here are some photo galleries I've shot with my old Nikon/Kodak camera. All galleries are open to anyone, i.e., you don't have to be on Facebook to see them. Minolta RD-175 http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=51495&id=1623829462&l=6d09be22...

Re: Sony Mavica MVC-5000
I got the 2nd body for $24.41 including shipping. It looks like I should have saved up to get one of the complete kits as the lenses are hard to find and I have no idea what the name of the mount it. There is a seller on Ebay (nsxdream) who sells a lot of old digitals, I bought an NC-2000e from him ...

Re: Sony Mavica MVC-5000
Thanks, I saw that page and may e-mail him for more info. It's definitely not a Sony mount for the lens as I found one to try and it's much bigger. My particular body is dirty and has seen better days, so I'm looking at another body on Ebay to mix-n-match parts. The lens isn't common and it looks li...

Wanted: Memory cards/battery packs for Fuji DS-505
Has anyone got a memory card that will work in one of these they're willing to buy/swap/trade? Also, I'm looking for battery packs (Dead is fine) to try taking apart and recelling them.

Sony Mavica MVC-5000
I'm getting one of these (starting with the body) and was wondering if anyone knows where there is a manual for one or if any lenses will work on it aside from the 9-123.5mm that came with it. The mount looks very similar to a Sony Alpha but I don't want to experiment trying to make something work.

Re: Nikon E-series memory cards - please report your findings
PNY 8MB, part number P-CF008PA-BX is supposed to be compatible with the DS-505/515, at least according to their old ads. Does anyone know if the "Series 2" moniker on some PCMCIA cards means the same as "High Speed?" I see that on several Intel cards. I also know the spec that FU...

EC-15 or HG-15 memory cards
Does anyone know where these memory cards may still be available? It's for a DS-505; I noted Nikon's web site had a faq question from 2003 that they were still making the EC-15, so it stands to reason there's a few out there. Barring that, I know the 40MB "Solid State File" card from IBM i...

Re: Kodak DCS ,NC charger substitute.
I power my DCS 315/330/620X on a Quantum QB2 external battery, and the DCS-420 I briefly had was able to work with a QB5+, but it needed to have the internal battery present with at least somewhat usable cells as it's feeding through the AC charger port. It's a little clumsy having to keep the batte...

Re: Nikon E2?/Fujix DS-505 on ebay
I got the DS-505, I saw another seller had the charger for sale at the same time so decided it was too good to pass up. The same seller with the E2 missing the shutter button also had an E2N for sale, but it was missing the battery.
