Re-cell old DCS 560/660/760 packs with Li-ion cells?
Hello everyone, An odd idea came to me about a week ago. In theory, would it be possible to take apart old DCS 560/660/760 battery packs, and replace the NIMH cells with Li-ion cells? 2 3.7v li-ion cells have about the same voltage as the Sub-C cells that are used in the packs, and the 14500 might j...

Re: Still having no luck with memory cards on the DCS 760...
Well, quite interesting news: The ST1 seemed to work in the adapter (camera recognizes it, saves pictures to it). Strangely enough, it also seemed to make everything else work as well. Still have absolutely no explanation for this...

Re: Still having no luck with memory cards on the DCS 760...
Well, this is amusing - on an older laptop with PCMCIA slots, the laptop won't recognize the CF card in the adapter either (the adapter and card are "recognized" and given entries under device manager, but it won't display as a disk for some reason...) - but it is read/write-able on a USB ...

Still having no luck with memory cards on the DCS 760...
Well, the SD card stopped working again, and I don't seem to be able to get it back working.... So I ordered a PCMCIA to CF adapter, and got a Kingston 4GB CF card. Unfortunately, the thing still doesn't seem to work.... card still isn't being recognized. I'm supposed to get a Seagate 5GB microdrive...

Re: Card/flash issues with DCS 760
Apparently it's more battery-related. Just fully charged the battery today (and nearly fried it - but that's another story altogether), placed it into the camera, and the card worked again. I'm starting to suspect that the SD card adapter + card somehow requires more power than the normal compactfla...

Card/flash issues with DCS 760
Hi, I picked up a Kodak DCS 760 a few months ago, and have been trying to get it to work with a 2GB Sandisk SD card, through a PNY PCMCIA adapter. It worked, although not consistently (I would get card write issues occasionally, and if the battery was at the halfway point according to the battery me...
