Lets just say that if or when Nikon discontinued the RS..
It would have made it really difficult to build further "wet" digital cameras based on the system..

About 4 years ago, I used a Microtek SCSI to 1394 converter.
It seemed to work fine with the Kodak DCS 420 and the RFS 3570 scanner on my Mac....

I'd guess that something like this would still work today...
(easier and maybe cheaper than messing with a scsi card..)

:P Thanks to the "secret squirrels" for posting the definitive list!.. I sent a note out to my home boys at Kodak today, letting them all know about this thread on the forum.. Everything prior to the DCS 200 (1992) is generally classified by the market as "DCS 100".. There were many "special" models...

I'm surprised to hear that anyone at Kodak would release volume information for cameras. While I was there, this was strictly taboo... On the "DCS 100", keep in mind that while it was "current' this was never sold as a "DCS 100".. It was sold as the "DCS" ("Digital Camera System"). It was not tagged...
