Re: Kodak DCS 620x
When I moved to another town, I just got rid of a lot of computers (a.o. Windows and a Sun workstation :) ). Both my camera and my bicycle collection are already space consuming, so I don't know if I can get away with another collection :) Nevertheless, I maybe can get an old G4, which should do the...

Re: Kodak DCS 620x
Hi,
I know Photodesk should do a much better job. But it doesn't run on OSX 10.7 and I don't have a Windows OS at the moment (why paying for a crappy OS ).

Re: Kodak DCS 620x
Thanks! I've read about your DCS 720x, sounds like a good deal too. One of the batteries seems to be bad, I'm getting an error while charging. It's ok, since the other battery is ok and I know that I can still get some other batteries on ebay. I have had no problems with the CF card, I've used a San...

Today I received my Kodak DCS 620x (serial K620x-01196, 45134 actuations). Complete with charger, two Premium Plus batteries, camera power adapter, both camerastraps, a PC Card adapter and the original box (only manual was not included, but found that online). Re: NikonWeb.com DCS File Converter ver 0.2
Just did a test with my DCS420 and I am happy with the results:

All photos imported with Vuescan and I did just a minor edit in Photoshop. For the convenience I converted the original photos to DNG.

Re: NikonWeb.com DCS File Converter ver 0.2
Searching for a new old digital camera to add to my collection and setting my mind to a Kodak DCS620 or 720, I noticed your note on the file formats. I have the same issue with the Minolta RD-175 (I'm on a Mac). But I have found a solution: VueScan. It is supposed to work with the Kodak files as wel...

I have promised an update to keep you in touch. Last Thursday the Elpac charger arrived. And it worked ok. Next step was to find a CF-PCMCIA adapter. That one I bought today, brand new. It's one from Sandisk. This evening I ave tried it with some cards. The simple blue Sandisk 128MB cards didn't wor...

Thanks for your tips Gamnut. Regarding the lens, I will be using the 50 1.4 and de 24 2.8 I already had from Nikon (still have the good old F4 as well). I only want to find a bigger wide-angle, but yes, it has to look good too on the camera :) Is it possible to formaat the card in another SLR, like ...

I don't think I will be using the oldie a lot neither (especially since I am using Canon now, but I sill have a F4 and a 24 and 50mm). When I picked up my 1DN, the 10D which I used before started to collect dust. I think the same as with your D100. Well the D2X is a great camera (the fun part about ...

And yes, I definitally want to take photos with it, that's what cameras ares built for, aren't they? :) Good tip on Kodak. I will try to contact a Dutch guy first at Kodak. Had a good contact with him when Kodak was ...

Happy with a dead Kodak DCS 420
Hi all, just a message to the world that I have got my Kodak DCS 420 camera today. I was writing an article about the Mamiya ZD for a Dutch photomagazine and did some study to older cameras (the ZD does look a little bit like the E2 I think). Then I was thinking what a great cameras we had in the pa...
